The Run-up to the Mars-Uranus Conjunction of Mid-July 2024

On July 15, 2024, Mars will arrive at conjunction with Uranus, doing so in the 26^th degree of Taurus. This arrangement will highlight and intensify the general meaning associated with the long-term transit of Uranus through Taurus.

Taking place over a period of approximately 7 years, the transit of Uranus through Taurus is in effect from early 2018 through early 2026. Uranus in the sign of Taurus in these years represents a major trend of relevance for both the collective and the individual. When Mars adds its sense of urgency, impatience, impulsivity, and passion to the Uranian explosion already operating in the field of sedate and materialistic Taurus, the impact is significantly increased.

The implication for mid-July 2024 is obvious: the radical psychological and physical transformations already wrought by Uranus in Taurus will be dramatically intensified, accelerated, or even exacerbated in mid-July 2024.

While Uranus is in Taurus, the trend is toward a major upheaval in long-established, persistent, and stubborn patterns. Taurean issues such as attitudes and practices relating to ownership, possession, money, consumption, diet, eating habits, sex, and other personal matters are currently in the Uranian cross-hairs, rattled and shattered by the disruptive shock waves emanating from Uranus.

Whatever may have transpired along these lines since 2018 will be brought to high pitch in mid-July 2024, much like as it was in late summer 2022 when Mars, the transiting lunar south node, and Uranus were all conjunct in Taurus, or in April 2024 with the conjunction of Jupiter and Uranus in Taurus.

For example, in late summer 2022 when transiting Mars, the lunar south node, and Uranus were all conjunct at 18 degrees of Taurus, the astrologer was on high alert for evidence of the resulting effects. In her own immediate vicinity, the astrologer noticed several sales of property, all of which occurred at the condo village in which she was residing at the time. Further, an older resident of the same condo village who was a Sun sign Taurean made his passage to the other side of the veil during that time period. The social composition of the village morphed significantly as properties changed hands and the resident personnel was transformed. Furniture was sent away and front porch areas redesigned. Many physical changes thus mirrored the changes of heart and mind which went along with intensive Uranian activation in the property-oriented sign of Taurus.

Then, in April 2024 with Jupiter and Uranus conjunct at 23 degrees of the deeply rooted sign of Taurus, people everywhere pulled up roots and began the process of moving residence. The astrologer herself was affected in this way, making preparations to move from an urban area in central Arkansas to a rural environment in western Arkansas right along the Oklahoma border.

Now, with Mars moving to conjunction with Uranus, similar themes will again be activated. Dramatic changes in property ownership, in location, and lifestyle can be anticipated. Taurus is a sign deeply connected with nature and the natural environment. With Uranus in this sign, a deeper awakening to the power, beauty, and magic of nature has been arising within the consciousness of many.

In late June 2024, the run-up to the astrological intensity of the Mars-Uranus conjunction has already begun. Though conditions may seem settled enough right now, that’s not quite the extent of it. Presently, the coming Mars-Uranus conjunction is already beginning to cast a long shadow before itself, hinting at the pressing and restless need to transcend current limitations which always accompanies a strong Uranus activation. Rising within the moment is an imperative to seize any available opportunity and make dramatic breakthroughs in the areas of passions and interests. Contentment with average, humdrum, or routine living just won’t do these days. Instead, there is a chomping at the bit to leap forward into the next level of experience. Along with that comes a bevy of atypical conditions. In sum, the moment is an unstable situation, likely to dart off in any direction at any time. A creative precipice awaits. The sense of anticipation mounts.
